CVRA Big Lunch 2009 -2014

CVRA Big Lunch 2009 -2014

For several years CVRA held an annual picnic….until 2009 when it was decided to try a village BBQ. It was good to see Old School field in use. However the field was very big and there were no toilets! So CVRA asked The Farmer Inn if they could use the donkey field next to the pub and they haven’t looked back. The event has helped residents get to know their neighbours. For the last two years “The Big lunch” has taken place. Everyone brings some food to share or BBQ, it is amazing what a range of food arrives and it never runs out. The archery has been popular. The steam train saw one child have 11 turns and even that wasn’t enough for her. The tug of war was fun with teams for example; girls V boys, Catherington Lane V Glamorgan Road, this means everyone gets involved!
