It’s Back! Catherington Big Lunch 2019
This year’s Catherington Big Lunch, will be held in the Farmer Inn meadow starting at noon on Saturday 22nd June. The main summer event of the CVRA calander, a good turnout is guaranteed and is a great opportunity to catch up with existing friends and neighbours as well as meet new ones!
Activities include Go-karts, Bouncy castle, Garden games, Speed goal shots and a Treasure hunt.
A Barbeque & Salads are included in the ticket price. Please bring a pudding to share. Ice creams can be purchased on the day. Drinks to be purchased from the Farmer Inn.
A new fun feature this year will be a “Bake-off” style Cake competition so bring along your creation, to be based on a theme of “Summer”, for judging by the “inexpert” panel at 2pm.
Tickets must be purchased in advance as the event usually sells out. Tickets go on sale in May from CVRA committee members or email CVRATickets@EliteMail.Org

CVRA members: Adults £5, Children £3 (under 5s £1)
Non Members: Adults £7, Children £4 (under 5s £2)

Catherington Big Lunch 2018
The Catherington Village Residents’ Association (CVRA) summertime Big Lunch, will be held in the Farmer Inn meadow starting at noon on Saturday 23rd June. Tickets to be purchased in advance – on sale in May from CVRA committee members or email CVRATickets@EliteMail.Org
Drinks to be purchased from the Farmer Inn.
Tickets include Hog Roast (or hotdog for children), music from The Wacky Wednesdays, games and more.
Members £5 an adult, £7 non members, children over 3 years £3.
Please bring a pudding/cake to share.
Also bring a chair

Christmas Carols at The Farmer – 9th December
Get in to the Christmas spirit with carols on Saturday 9th December at The Farmer. The band will strike up from 6pm and there will be mulled wine and mince pies available.
Last year’s singing ranged from “angelic” to the “enthusiastic” but certainly raised the roof so bring family and friends along and join in with all your favourites.

Sunday 25th June – Catherington Big Lunch
Tickets are on sale for the Catherington Big Lunch this year which will take place on Sunday 25th JuneThere will be a Hog Roast included in the ticket price and live music to get everyone into the swing. Other activities will include Steam Train Rides, Pillow Jousting, Treasure Hunt and Games, as well as the annual Catherington Tug of War.
Everything kicks off at midday in the field next to The Farmer Inn (The Donkey Field). Everyone is encouraged to bring a “pudding to share” so roll up those sleeves and get baking.
Tickets are £7 for adults (reduced to £5 for paid up CVRA members) and £3 for children. Drinks may be purchased from the Farmer Inn.

Don’t delay as numbers are limited and the event was sold out well in advance last year.

New Trees Planted

New Trees planted in May 2017 Earlier in the year a grant was obtained from EHDC, courtesy of Sara Schillemore for the purchase of mature trees, and with the help of a donation from a CVRA member, the trees have been purchased and planted in the field opposite the Church car park on Catherington Lane.
