Catherington Village “100 Lives” – Thursday 9th March

  • Off

As part of Catherington Village ‘100 Lives’ presentations, the first will be held on Thursday 9th March 2023 at Catherington Church Hall. Doors open at 19:15 for a 19:30 start.

If you are interested in Genealogy, Military History or have a member of your family who died during WWI or WWII, as serving personnel, you may be interested in attending this presentation about the work of ‘The War Graves Photographic Project’.

A volunteer project that has photographed over 1.9 million war graves and memorials around the world that commemorate Commonwealth and other nations war dead. These are now available to family historians and researchers via the website WWW.TWGPP.ORG

The project is now based in White Dirt Lane and the Co-ordinator, Steve Rogers, will discuss the work carried out since 2005 and answer questions, as required, in a presentation lasting about 1 hour 30 minutes.

There will be a small admission fee of £1 to cover the hiring of the hall.
