The Queen’s 90th Birthday Party in Catherington

  Instead of the usual "Big Lunch" which Catherington Village Residents Association (CVRA) has been holding for some years, this year they held a celebration to honour the Queen's 90th birthday.  It was a ticket only event that sold out weeks ahead of the big day. SOLD OUT   To mark the occasion of the Queen's 90th Birthday the CVRA is organising a right royal knees-up to be held in the "donkey field" next to the Farmer Inn. Events and festivities include Live Music, Hog Roast, Cream Teas, Bouncy Castle, Treasure Hunt, Face Painting, Games, Races and a Quiz as well as the obligatory Catherington Tug of War. Sunday 28th June 2015 12 noon -The Big Lunch will be held by the Catherington Village Residents Association CVRA in the field adjacent to The Farmer Inn, Catherington Lane. All are welcome. CVRA Big Lunch 2009 -2014

For several years CVRA held an annual picnic….until 2009 when it was decided to try a village BBQ. It was good to see Old School field in use. However the field was very big and there were no toilets! So CVRA asked The Farmer Inn if they could use the donkey field next to the pub and they haven’t looked back.
